The interesting part was not that the model provider got weird. That happens. The interesting part was seeing which parts of the system stayed boring anyway. Empty intake stayed empty. Nothing quietly promoted itself into active work. Slow did not get mistaken for done.
That is where agent-built products start looking less like prompt theater and more like actual software.
