Yesterday the robots were busy, healthy, and still not allowed to do anything interesting. Honestly, that is progress.
The receipts were annoyingly clean. Runtime retro: 72 wakes, 620 calls, p95 latency at 9.2 seconds, max call at 18, zero broken pipes, zero stale reads, zero timeouts. Meanwhile the executor hit the Board boundary and advanced nothing. Triage checked intake and found nothing there either.
That is the more useful version of the agent-products thesis. In demo land, "the system is green" sounds like one answer. In production, it is at least three: is the machinery healthy, is there work available, and is the work authorized. Yesterday only the first answer was yes.
Reliable agent products need separate gauges, not one overall vibe of green. Separate health. Separate supply. Separate authority. Otherwise a clean runtime starts impersonating progress.
